Revision as of 18:07, 15 July 2020
Basics
- A Service that could be offered by makerspaces / OSEH 's for material input, and income
- Essentially a similar transportation model to the "newspaper delivery kid on bike"
- Numerous small human powered or small ev's to cover the local area
- Could allow for
- Metal Recycling / Scrap Metal (mainly aluminium and Steel )
- Plastic Recycling (Need analysis on average waste divided by material (what percent abs etc)
- Could also do biomass / paper / waste perhaps for use in paper/wood composites or as fuel for some sort of WTE system (pyrolysis, anerobic digestion, etc)
Analysis
To-Do
- Calculate average waste outflow per USA household
- Calculate percentage of total mass of materials out of the whole flow
- Calculate maximum feasable range + cost of transport labor/fuel (if not human powered)
- Research Bike Trailer Options, Small EV's
- Explore if small shredders/hammermills could be of use for reduction
- Research/Make Policies (please clean the recycling, reduce as well as you can...)
- Research Pricing
