Basics

  • A design developed and origiginally thought up by James Bruton
  • Is similar to Boston Dynamics's Spot robot, yet it is fully open source, and works a bit differently
  • Is still in development (ie not FULLY capable) but is a great project moving foreward at a remarkable pace
  • Could be a good test bed/into project into legged robots for the Open Source Robotics Construction Set
  • The most recent version "OpenDog V2" has solved nearly all hardware issues (short of some small optimizations perhaps) , now it is a code problem
