Basics
- An Open Source ROUV or remotely crewed underwater vehicle
- Essentially a tether controlled robotic submarrine
- Used mainly for scientific research
- Uses ROV which is for Remotely Operated Vehicle, a shortened (albeit confusing) abbreviation of Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle or ROUV
- Appears to have been bought up by Spoondrift to form Sofar as detailed in This page of sofar's website
