Compressive Strength

  • Lime concrete reaches 1450 psi, or about half of ordinary portland cement (OPC), at 90 days, and half of that in 28 days. [1]. To get more strength, other pozzolanic materials must be added.
  • Limestone is 9000 PSI. Thus, why are we not attaining limestone strengths with lime concrete??? [2]. And the next question is - HOW do we obtain 9000 psi lime concrete, or at least as strong as OPC? This is a good question for collaborative design.
