What about all the jihad? In the big picture, it seems minor. How big a threat is religion to democracy in America? The OSE perspective is that first there must be material insecurity (financial dependence) discontent, then religion is invoked as well to organize fundamentalists against democratic values.

What about all the jihad? In the big picture, it seems minor. How big a threat is religion to democracy in America? The OSE perspective is that first there must be material insecurity (financial dependence) discontent, then religion is invoked as well to organize against democratic values.
