We're looking for 24 young men and women to be part of a worldchaning crew - with an explicit mission to open source the blueprints for civilization.

We are offering a 4 year program, where you learn to collaborate, design, and build - a civilization that is both efficient, and humane.

We're building a collaborative, transparent, open society – a level playing field for everyone. After nearly two decades of prototyping open collaboration, design, and building, this is our next big step.

Our school teaches you how to be human, how to learn, and how to design a new civilization – all while building. We start with Seed Eco-Homes to fund the program, learning design principles and treating civilization as a modular construction set. We tackle everything from homes and machines to energy, transportation, space, microchips, and even societal institutions.

First, we focus on you. We cultivate humanity – humility, character, possibility, abundance mindset, moral intelligence, soft skills, leadership, and more. Then, we teach you how to learn – rapid learning techniques, accurate mental models, and integrated systems thinking. Finally, you'll learn how to design – houses and the rest of the technosphere. You'll be exposed to most of the working architectures of civilization - how nature, machines, organizations, and institutions work.

The practical side means building Seed Eco-Homes 2 days per week as a work-study program. Our goal is that the 24 of you and me - build complete Seed Eco-Homes - on a time scale of only 5 days. We will hire you if you can do this, at competitive pay.

This is the core of the OSE Apprenticeship - your learn radically collaborative and efficient ways to design and build. We're solving housing, meaning providing an ample supply of low-cost, high performance housing. This means we learn not only to design-build housing, but to design-build construction machines, power tools, and the materials that go into a high performance home.

That is only the beginning. We teach you financial independence - which is inevitable if you can build a complete home.

Service projects - Every summer is 2 weeks - where we are true to subsidized, low income builds - where you learn the leadership to lead novice crews while building affordable housing to real clients

Summer of Enterprise Build - we have 2.5 months vacation, and you can choose to Integrated Humans - we focus on you, not on technology

Housing is the single highest cost in anyone's life. By learning to build housing, you are setting yourself up for financial independence, and addressing the single largest cost in your life.

Redesign civilization. This means integrated learning - how everything connects to everything. Our program is designed to teach full build ability with anywhere from basic to advanced profficiency in the 20 build trades - but you will also be exposed to design skill, and understanding of how the world words - a survey across all areas of civilization

Experiment hands-on - we have a 1/2 acre blank slate called the Alpha Pad - an experimental area, gravel foundation pad where you can build anything that you want - while you are learning to collaborate in the integrated design-build process - and even build your own studio microhouse on site.

Set your own pay. We do not set limits on your pay. You do- by the amount of skill that you can show competency in. We guarantee $75k starting salary from a plain Integrated Builder role if you pass the required competency of efficient productivity for a complete house build. But you are welcome to move into management - which is based on competency in build and organization.
