Basics

Common Ratios

50:1

  • 50 Parts Fuel, 1 Part 2-Stroke Oil

40:1

  • 40 Parts Fuel, 1 Part 2-Stroke Oil

Other Ratios

  • 25:1
  • 32:1
  • 16:1

Impact on Air/Fuel Ratio

  • Due to the Total Loss Lubrication , impacts in amount of Oil also directly impact the Air/Fuel Ratio
  • Thus if one doesn’t want this to cause the engine to run more lean/rich, the Carburetor will need to be adjusted
  • Some of the tests have neglected this, while comments have mentioned it
    • Further SCIENTIFIC testing of this required, but decent Community Knowledge Backing
