Similar production rate for sugarcane compared to switch grass (lignocellulose) -

8:1 fuel production ratio for sugarcane

4:1 ratio for switchgrass

Net 580 gallons per acre for sugarcane

Net 750 gallons per acre for switchgrass

These are figures based solely on energy considerations - Switchgrass is king on energy considerations alone - but that may or may not hold for the overall cost per gallon - which will depend on the effort required for production.
