Basics

  • An Open Source RCUV or remotely crewed underwater vehicle
  • Essentially a tether controlled robotic submarrine
  • Used mainly for scientific research
  • Uses ROV which is for Remotely Operated Vehicle, a shortened (albeit confusing) abbreviation of Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle or ROUV
