An Electrical Distribution Grid on a Massive Scale
This is usally across multiple countries or even continents
Is Used to "Balance Out" Renewable Production of Electricity by making the grid so large it spans multiple weather zones (ie storms block solar in one area, yet the other area ccurrently has clear weather thus the other area "covers for" the first area) and climates (Desert produces Solar Thermal and Delivers it Far Away)
May utilize HVDC Power Transmission and/or Superconducting Power Transmission,but doesn't neccisarily require it
