Highest

  • Cancer, heart disease, accidents - top 3 [1]. Cancer and heart disease claim over 1 million.
  • 10th on the list is suicide - [2]
  • Note 'natural death' refers to anything that is not homicide, accident, war, or suicide [3]. Ie, all diseases such as cardiovascular count as natural death.

Car Deaths

Minor compared to top causes of death. Only a small fraction of accidents is car accidents.

  • 37k/year car deaths USA - [4]

Global

  • About 50M deaths. Heart dissease is by far the first cause. [5]
