Basics

• A Technology for adressing NOx Emissions
• Typically used for Diesel Exhaust Pollutants due to the engine not being suited to "three way" Catalytic Converters
• Not as common as Selective Catalytic Reduction systems it seems?
• Essentially works like a Pressure Swing Adsorbtion system?
• The wikipedia page doesn't have much info on what is done with the concentrated NOx

• An Article by "The Economist" Titled "The dieselgate dilemma" (Essentially it uses fuel/rich combustion to reduce the NOx to carbon dioxide and nitrogen. Volkswagen's system sort of worked, but this killed the fuel efficiency, and thus was turned off to achieve that, rather than achieve the less noticeable/monitorable (to the average driver) NOx/Km standard) (need to do math on fuel use vs ammonia/ DEF use)
