Instead of ethics in general, we focus on the Collaborative Ethic, which subsumes all other ethics. Ie, killing, stealing, lying etc - all go away once we see our proper place in the larger universe, and choose to acquire the skill set for Collaborative Science. Thus, the pillage and animosity of genociders such as Marx or Engels is corrected by democratic principles.
