Electrical Adaptors, typically for Computer Cables that don't have that short cable section; they are solid bricks
Thus that 50 USD or so USB A to USB C Adapter or HDMI to VGA Adapter etc doesn't die in a couple of months or so of use due to that Cable Fraying
Need to see if they added those short cables for Planned Obsolescence or if they play any sort of Strain Relief role
Even if a bend is needed, a 90 Degree USB Adapter etc is preferable
