From Roller Chain Strength Table - the working strength of 100 pitch chain is 5000 lb. The 15,000 Inch Pound Motors provide 3x this force at 1" radius. For us to allow operation within working strength of single chain - we need to use a 3" radius sprocket, where force will be 1/3 of the rated 15,000 lb at 1" radius. this indicates that we would go from 3" to 6" sprocket to make everything fit:
