Subject Matter Experts are a critical player in the rapid deployment of the GVCS.

Experts are needed primarily in mechanical engineering, power electronics, machine design, metallurgy, precision machining, and others:

- Polymer chemistry for bio-plastic production
- Automotive engineers for open source car and truck design
- Scalable, 3-6 axis, open source stepper motor controller (running open source code) for applications in all types of CNC machines
- Flash steam generator design
- Flash steam generator fabrication
- CNC fabrication of hydraulic motors
- Fabrication of hydraulic cylinders
- Hot rolling of metal
- Pelletizer fabrication
- Agricultural combine design
