Funding

We need to show more than one successful project that has gone through the Open Source Development Pipeline. This proves value to sponsors.

Ask for funding from –

  • Rich humanitarians with progressive ideas
  • People and foundations with interest in things like open source currencies. See list at Foundations
  • Hedge fund managers
  • True Fans (subscription basis)
  • Selling hardware

Getting collaborators

It was agreed that the first thing is to create a platform at opensourceecology.org that facilitates collaboration. The priority now is creating this platform; then we can start actively going after collaborators from Hackerspaces, colleges etc. etc.

We can get interns to do certain things.
