- Download OSE Lulzbot Cura for your computer
- Download Arduino Environment - version 1.6.8. Connect from your computer to the Arduino Controller on your D3D 3D Printer with a USB cable.
- Download OSE Marlin. Upload OSE Marlin to your D3D Printer Arduino Controller.
- Download the OSE D3D 3D Printer Configuration Profile - File:D3DOriginal config.ini
- Open OSE Lulzbot Cura
- Download a sample print file, File:Hollow10.stl[
- Load this sample print file in Cura
- In Cura - go to the file menu: Cura->File->Open Profile... - and open the Configuration Profile by selecting the profile from wherever you saved it on your computer
- You are ready to print.
Prior to printing, you should:
- Verify the motion and homing of the x axis by hitting Home X Axis button in OSE Lulzbot Cura
- Verify motion and homing of the y axis by hitting the Home Y Axis button in OSE Lulzbot Cura
- Verify motion and homing of the y axis by hitting the Home Z Axis button in OSE Lulzbot Cura
- Heat up the extruder to 205C for PLA
- Heat up the bed to 60C for PLA
- Load the filament by hitting the Extrude Button after you insert the filament in the hole (extrude filament button will work only when the extruder is up to temperature
- When all axes home properly, you are ready to hit print. The red heater lights will come on, and once at temperature, the print will begin - starting with the 3 point calibration
- To pre-calibrate - when homing the z axis - a piece of paper should just get caught between the extruder nozzle when the heat bed moves all the way up. This pre-calibration must be done with the heat bed and extruder turned on to the printing temperature.
