Purpose

  • Update folks on immersion
  • Share a survey to have convos to start off marketing convos and better understand who we should be talking to.

Immersion

We finished our first immersion experience, a 5-week program that trains OSE Fellows who work full-time to hold public workshops and to steward the development of machines in the global village construction set. This is an important milestone in bringing Open Source Ecology from prototype to enterprise as we improve how we support communities in building themselves and their world. Here were some takeaways from the experience:

  • Improved documentation standards -
  • Collaborative Workshop Teamwork -
  • Setting workshop expectations -
  • Holding space for group processing -
  • Governance for full-time team -

The two OSE Fellows are now in California preparing to give 3D printer build workshops and 3d printer design training. We're excited about the next Immersion in April 2019 where we plan to cover heavy machinery that makes building the seed eco home more accessible.
