The January 2020 STEAM Camp resulted in a viable film studio from a Raspberry Pi/ Beagle Bone Tablet - and the focus of the second international STEAM Camp is 3D printer filament making - where you can build your own filament maker and shredder.

The focus will be massive extrusion of plastic.

Massive printing nozzles will be included in this camp - where we design and prototype our own Design-for-manufacturing version of the Supervolcano heater block. Because if we have ample plastic from the waste stream - we want to print it inexpensively using widely available feedstock.

The value proposition here involves breakthrough cost reduction on the filament making infrastructure. This is where we explore the limits of 3D printed geardowns for making slow, high torque filament makers.
