Cutting out an Object

- Great and clear.
- Use shift and control on Ubuntu to zoom in and out and move around to get a detailed cut.
Procedure:
- Windows menu -> New Toolbox if tools are not showing
- Free Select Tool - Lasso -> click and drag, or do multiple clicks for pointwise line selection
- Go all the way to the starting point and click
- Select-> Invert
- Ctrl-X to remove background.
- Save as PNG to preserve transparency. Export.
Making Background Transparent
- After you cut out an object, if you save it in a usual way, it may have a white background.
- You need to remove the background by adding a Layer->Transparency->Add Alpha Channel. Then hit Delete to remove background.
