Talk:UL Certified Wireless Switches
Just read that hackaday article, and yeah i echo the whole "Must be Listed and Certified" stuff. That is all over the NEC and granted it would *probably* not be the point of failure, i'd rather not risk it given Electrical Fires are the main cause of House Fires (short of Cooking Fires / smoking and candles, but those are far more easily avoided with just watching stuff and turning stuff off / extinguishing candles when not in use, and having extinguishers in the kitchen etc; small easy stuff).
That and although they were ambiguous with if they would enforce it etc (or if they would even be able to easily know post-fire) i'd not risk anything (at least with most) with insurance companies given how they are quick to deny claims etc (Another granted: I have been lucky enough to not have to had dealt with massive fire/hurricane damage etc, so can't entirely speak to that)
