Big Picture

The big picture is public design, the democratization of design/build power so that anyone can contribute to building the world they want to live in. This could mean their home, their enterprise, their life. To do this, we believe that public tools such as documented construction sets, CAD part libraries, visual icon construction sets - can enable anybody to design, build, and innovate on any technology. The simple idea is to make design transparent, and to open access to design and build tools that build upon all of human knowledge.

OSE Case

OSE is developing multipurpose graphics and CAD libraries for building any technology, such as homes, 3d printers, tractors, engines - and later on to microchips and other technologies. We are pursuing a unified pattern language for design and build of anything.

  • To take photos, CAD, icons, and other visuals and stylize them in a uniform way to make them usable as Pattern Language Icons, icons for diagrams, software drag-and-drop buttons, book content identifiers (example, light bulb icon = idea), process design icons, site signage icons, website icons, Visual Workshop signage.
  • Primary use is to
  • Part icons for public engineering:
    • Housing and infrastructure construction set
    • 3D printer parts - 3DP Construction Set
    • Power Cube construction set icons
    • Tractor Construction Set Icons + implements
    • CNC Machine Construction Set design icons - CNC Torch, Mill Lathe, 3D printer, etc.
    • Village infrastructure design icons (Applied Civilization Lab)
