After a model is completed in Sketchup - it can be taken apart and every single part can be identified and put in a separate layer.
Thus, turning layers on in proper sequence can yield an actual build sequence.
This can be combined with animations to generate a complete build sequence - which can be reviewed rapidly by an engineer for feasibility of build.
