Rationale

  • CEB Financial Model - without it, we do and observe - as opposed to 'predict and observe' - the latter allows us to test assumptions and tweak the program to test whether the workshop production model is scalable. It allows us to make meaningful revenue projections for economic sustainability and scaling.
  • 8 Hour Total CEB Fab Ergonomics (post materials sourcing) - Documenting how many people are required to produce 2 complete brick presses in 8 hours. Creative constraint: entire process can be run in parallel in a 3000 sq ft workshop (12 bays, 256 sq ft each). Design has to match production rate to generalized GVCS Flexible Fabrication infrastructure that includes a CNC torch table, 3D Printer, and 100W Laser Cutter.
  • Determine Most Critical Proofs of Concept 2014 Goals - CEB Press production is one of those goals. Determine how much money is needed over a 2.5 month period to develop a self-sustaining business model around Extreme Manufacturing Workshops, branded as skilling-production-enterprise workshops. What investment is needed to deliver such a workshop, and demonstrate a replicable, 3 day workshop scenario (schedule of 40 workshops per year, at $10k net revenue per workshop.
