The conceptual module-based design takes OSE Module Icons and makes a conceptual Google Doc of how they go together.

The key here is selecting which modules to use, their number, and how to arrange them together.

The key to enabling crowd-sourcing of this is to understand design rules for how some machine is put together. Therefore, each machine or component must be explained. There is also a Tech Tree of Choices which shows that a certain function may be accomplished by several different mechanisms.
