Hello Friends,

I am hoping that all you had a good time this Saturday as I did - and now for some feedback and followup. And thank you Jenna for offering your studio for finishing the build.

Survey. Please fill out this survey to help us learn and make the next event better. If you are interested in running a workshop yourself, there are questions about that in this survey. We can coordinate by a conference call to discuss the next steps.

Continued Discussions. To continue discussions with other participants, join the OSE Workshops FB Group to continue discussion there. You can follow the OSE FB Page for progress, and join the OSEmail newsletter for larger announcements. Please post any pictures you took at the OSE Workshops FB Group. My pictures are here.

Documentation. All the documentation assets for the 3D Printer are on the wiki - where the second tab of the spreadsheet includes workshop organization assets. The main document we used in the workshop was this, and instructional videos are here.

Next Event: OSE is planning the its next 3D Printer workshop on Saturday, May 14. We suggest that all other events are on the same date - though we can discuss this.

Product Evolution: We will upgrade the printer to a metal enclosure and a stationary bed in v2 for the next OSE Build Workshop. The 3D printer from the March 19 build (v1) will be compatible with the enclosure - and more parts would be needed for the stationary bed version. Others should do v1 (Prusa i3 from Folgertech) as the entry level printer for their first workshop - the v2 is not recommended for other workshops. We think that v2 will reduce build time by 30-50%.

Filament Extruder: we are planning a workshop on the Filament Extruder as well. Our approach is to invite the existing Filement Extruder subject matter experts.

Auto Bed Leveling: we will hold a webinar on the auto bed leveling next weekend - Friday, April 1, at 5 PM CST USA time. This requires that we replace the extruder mount with a modified mount with the height sensor holder. We will send the print file for you to print - or if you are having trouble printing - we can send the 3D printed part to you. Full instructions on how to replace the existing extruder mount are forthcoming. Existing documentation for the height sensor only contains the zip tie mounting of the height sensor. Join the OSE Workshops FB Group for further discussion on this.

Anyway, please fill out the survey, let us know who will be running a build, and we'll organize further webinars to coordinate. Best place to keep up with product evolution is on the OSE Workshops FB page and OSE FB page.

Thanks, Marcin
