A property of a technology which allows it to be understood such that future generations canbuild upon the technology. This implies that sufficient documentation exists such that non-experts can use the technology. In this scenario, experts are no longer required to act as intermediaries to that technology. As such, the technology is more likely to become an Open Source Appropriate Technology.
