100 Whr Per Day Refrigerator
From Meara
This appears to be the least expensive and also open source chest-fridge to refrigerator converter from Meara's friend. This yields lifetime of service/ability, so we can modify/fabricate with a basic CNC mill, which is part of the basic GVCS package.

The point of the above is that you can get a chest freezer to function as a refrigerator - with a factor of 10 energy reduction (150 Watt hours per day, or equivalent to running a laptop for 2 hours) compared to the USA average of about 1500 watt hours per day [3].

this is very promising - how to convert chest freezers to extreme efficiency refrigerators that use about 100Wh/day:

From Abe at Velacreations
According to Abe, his Sundanzer uses 50 Watt hours per day, but it is a small refrigerator.
>>>>How much is the Sundanzer, and what kind of lifetime is expected from a fridge like that?
Ours was $800 direct from the factory (it had a cosmetic blemish). The lifetime is 20 years+, pretty much like any fridge or freezer. It is a chest fridge, extra insulation, very efficient. You can get them in freezer models as well.
