  • Whey appears to be a solution of water with about 5% lactose, and some minerals and protein. [1]
  • 10% of the whey solids - which are evaporated whey - are the protein solids, implying that 90% of the soilds is lactose.
  • Thus, from whey, you have 0.5% content of whey protein.
  • This whey protein can be used for polymerization to make bioplastics.
  • Whey can be used for foliar spraying as a natural pesticide, as done by Miracle Orchard
