Notes

  • Using short 3 mm screws for stepper motor mounting allows for nuts to be caught under motor, simplifying the assembly process. This is at the expense of easy stepper motor removal. Easy stepper motor removal is more important - easy removal means that the axes can remain intact - whereas if the screws were internal, then the universal axis structure can fall apart. Keeping the axis structure intact may be more important in cases of more complex machines.
