Questions one should ask regarding potential collaborators:

Are they serious or is this a fleeting interest they someone just tweeted?
Are they resourceful in securing support, or do they not understand that energy can be created?
Are they a flight risk, as they are just searching for what they want to do?
Are they financially independent, or is survival a significant burden for them?
Do they have a commitment to open culture, or is "open source" a synonym for "cool" in their mind?
Do they have perseverance and believe in a long term vision, or do they not understand that big breakthroughs come from big failures?
Do they welcome broad learning, or do they get overwhelmed easily?
Do they have collaborative literacy, or do they believe in the model of the line hero?
Are they humble? Do they invent - or innovate - and do they know the difference between the two?
