  • Stock supply chain - using common, inexpensive materials. Focuses more on materials, not finished parts. Value is added in house. This also allows for easy closure of the material cycle in lifecycle product management. Ultimately, simple supply chains include rocks, plants, soil, and water.
  • Specialized supply chain - highly processed or refined, finished parts. Value addition is outsourced - and more expensive.
