Getting rid of the Z probe would be a major simplification, and it bodes well for further simplifications of this nature in other machines. Torque must be considered. As long as the torque is low (less than 1/2 the max torque of motor), this should be ok. Ideally, we detect torque at 25% extra torque compared to what the motor is normally using. This should be completely feasible.
