  • There are different types of shield - foil and woven wire
  • Foil twisted pair - FTP
  • Make sure it is solid copper conductor, not copper clad aluminum (CCA)
  • Types of shielding - S/FTP and F/FTP appears to be the most shielded - [2]. Note there is no such thing as Braid (S)+Foil (F) overall with foil twisted pair. What is the difference between the protection level of F (Foil) vs S (Braid)?
