Basics

  • AKA Roller Pumps
  • A Positive Displacement Pump similar to a gear pump, where the fluid is enclosed within a flexible tube between the gears/rollers/beater bars
  • It thus keeps the fluid from being exposed to the operating elements, making it useful for medical and culinary uses (Medical infusion pumps, Drink Machines, Syrup Dispensers)
  • They are also relitively cheap to produce (Several Partially 3D Printed Designs Exist (They need only a tube, a motor, and and the nessisary electronics)
