This is conceptually the same as what we want to do for a modern steam version for Open Source Microcar:

  • 8 hp engine gets 60-70 mph
  • about 200 mpg
  • 1000-1200 lb weight
  • 0-40 mph - electric drive; 40-70 mph - engine drive
