Intro

  • Here we document how to be super-effective in communicating using digital media, combining broadcasting, CAD design, whiteboard, docs, chat, video coference, OBS, film studio, Blender, FreeCAD, GIMP, Inkscape, digital fabrication design, and more using OSE Linux.

Execution Priorities

  1. Main Scene - see below
  2. Web Browser Scene - simple capture of web browser including cursor highlight and magnification of where the cursor is (like in my FreeCAD 101 video 1.
  3. FreeCAD Scene. Including specifications for window sizes, etc.
  4. Live Interview Scene - a guest in the film studio. Lights, cameras, multiple angles.
  5. Drone Scene - advanced. Live feed from a drone for aerials during an event, especially house builds.

Execution

  • Getting a greenscreen subtraction in OBS
  • Adding the OSE background
  • Mike to use - OSE Podcast Mike buying link.
  • Headphones to use OSE Podcast Headphones
  • Desktop Switching -
  • Scene Switching in OBS
    • How to start a scene - one would be the face with background; another would be whiteboard; another FreeCAD; IRC; browser; Cura slicer for 3D printing
    • How to populate a scene with sources
  • How to set up the Main Scene:
    • Talking head via Chroma Key
    • Background
  • How to set up tablet input - Tablet Scene
    • DIY tablet? Are there any open source tablet projects?
  • How to set up RSA Animate input with dry erase
    • Lighting
    • Surface - dry erase board.
    • Camera input
  • Build Instructional Scene. How to set up an assembly scene - for showing how to assemble things (such as 3D printer parts and overall build). Capture from multiple angles with multiple cameras. Part of Open Source Film Studio.
