- Set screws on Z axis mounts do not work. Ended up not using them. They bulge out the Z axis holder - plastic is too weak. Solutions - modify geometry so that set screw does not make the holder bend out. Maybe make the holder structure stiffer.
- Mid set screw for carriages for carriage closure - can it be wider? Need to ream it all the time.
- Set screws on motor and idler piece - they have to be pre-threaded with another screw
- Big bearings are too stiff if carriages are too tight. Some worked, some were too tight. The grey linear bearings are looser. Must be different material quality.
- We mounted Z axes on [2] Pro 3, [1] Pro 2, and [1] Pro. Pro 2 has 4 z axes now for more stability with insulated bed.
Sat Aug 1, 2020
- 4 people total - 2:24 starting at noon - 2:24 hours to do 4 frames: 1 small, 1 Pro 2, 2 Pro 3, with mistakes and taking things apart.
- One corner piece cracked (with tab)
- Katie, David, and his wife
- Rods chamfered in about 30 minutes - for 4 machines - Katie
- Axes started at 2:24.
- 10 axes done (minus 2 idlers) in 1.5 hours. Includes set screw set into 14 bottom and 14 top pieces for mounting Z axis.
- Working on 1 pro kit, 1 pro upgrade, 1 Pro 2 build, 1 Pro 2 Upgrade, and 2 Pro 3s.
- Working on 6 kits total: 2 pro, 2 pro 2, 2 pro 3.
- Z axes: 4 (2 pros) + 8 + 8
- Totals - 20 Z axes. have 10.
- Totals - need one more set of corners, scale up by a bit and remove set screw hoes, replacing with thread-in

- Printing 5 sets of parts - 1 Pro upgrade, 2 Pro, Pro 2, and Pro 3. 5 total.
- Upgrading all printers to Universal Gearless Extruder.
