Basics

• With the technologies of:
  • Camless Piston Engines
  • Distributorless Ignition Systems
  • Engine Control Units
  • Digital Fabrication
  • etc
• Engines may be able to designed in a modular manner, since valve trains, etc are much less "locked in"
• The thermals / CFD , etc will still take considerable development, but Tooling and some aspects of the overall assembly is simplified
• Also the modular aspect of Coil on Plug and Actuator on Valve systems lends itself to ease of maitnence, as well as automation/swarm builds
