Rigorous Demand

Fourierist movement in general, was ultimately undermined by its unachievable utopian basis — a general creed which as one scholar observed "promised too much and required too little of its adherents."

The open source economy (distributed global + open design + microfactories) can address the stressors (lack of economic productivity) of such an endeavor.

Accounting

Fundamentally, accounting sapped too much energy. Fortunately, the open source license addresses this (by eliminating accounting - attribution is automatic and is found in logs). Very relevant to why any NC license (with complex accounting schemes) is doomed to failure and corruption.
