Talk:Open Source Crusher Software
Would this be for the PLC on the motor of an Open Source Shredder , or what?
I know the Paper/Cardboard shredder i have SOMEHOW does “Jam Detection” where if you are overloading it, it will pause, run in reverse for a bit, then go back to running.
I just guessed that was done based on Motor Current etc, along with maybe some of the Safety Interlocking type switches feeding into that circuit too.
Short of draining the Oil out of a nasty sump BELOW one, i haven’t dealt with Larger (Scrapyard) Shredders / Hammermills much.
Is this paper/simulator aimed towards that, or is it more MBD for how you optimize the design towards the Particle Size you want / what stresses the blades/hammers will face etc?

From what I understand about Yade, it would be useful for simulating the physical particle based breakdown of objects, which could be useful for shredder, crusher, mill, and potentially even other machines like sawmill etc.
I don't know what you mean by PLC or MBD acronyms
