Basics

  • Diesel Fuel that has a Dye Added to show that it is not being used for “Road Use” and thus not taxed
  • Can be cheaper, although especially if filling Safety Cans etc it may not be worth the risk of someone accidentally filling up a Vehicle, then if you get pulled over etc being fines etc

Potential Impact of Dye on Combustion

  • To Do:
    • Look up what dye is used
    • Depending on that try and do the stoic + see combustion products
    • Also any deposits after Accelerated Aging Tests / other concerns?

Internal Links

  • Fuel Alcohol
    • Some Non-Drinking Alcohols are Dyed in a Similar Manner
