Basics
- This page aims to formulate a Standard Operating Procedure for the Fleet Management of Small Engine powered equipment such as:
- Portable Generators
- Engine Driven Air Compressors
- Engine Driven Pressure Washers
- Engine Driven Trash Pumps
- Non-Electric String Trimmers / Leafblowers and other small landscaping equipment
- Non-Electric Lawn Mowers (Both “standard” , Self Propelled Push Mowers , and Zero Turn Lawn Mowers / Lawn Tractors etc, although the latter is more akin to conventional large vehicle Fleet Management )
- and anything else that isn’t a large ICE driven Vehicle, or a large Standby Genset or Liquid Fuel Fired Heater etc
- The former can be read about under Fleet Management
- Genset Maintenance covers Larger Generators (although much of it applies to Portable Generators as well, although Equipment Seasonality adds some challenges such as Prolonged Storage / Ease of forgetting things etc)
- Liquid Fired Burner Maintenance / Heater Maintenance are readable for information on non-electric Hot Water Pressure Washers , Steam Cleaners , and devices such as Forced Air Fired Heaters or Convective Fired Heaters etc
