My name is Alisher Khojayev and I am an 18 year old undergraduate student located in California. My major is Computer science and I actively participate in clubs while balancing personal projects to further my knowledge. The values of open source ecology align with my beliefs, mainly open source appropriate technology. It is disheartening to know the potential of technology has been disfigured by the needs of technological society, and that it's hard to contribute to this world without inadvertently or purposefully causing harm. I want my career path to reflect the positive aspects of technology without taking advantage of earth, humans, or animals. I have read the works of authors such as Jean Baudrillard, Desmod Morris, and Ted Kaczynski who believe that technology is harming us and the world. I agree with OSE's vision of the Open Source Economy as the solution for our future.
