I really like this framework/concept, and need to work on it sometime, but at least when quickly searching for a summary for someone, i found tons of use by Neo-Climate Deniers (more like Green Transition Deniers as Climate Change is becoming Undeniable etc) and AI Accelerationist Bro types etc.

Disheartening stuff lol, granted probably just operator error in my searching.

All in all though picking up litter at work (despite previously “clearing” the same exact spots), constant plastic/microplastic pollution stuff, rampant wastefulness, news of ultra-low reservoirs out west (and my knowledge from that Water Resources class that even the Florida Aquifer isn’t doing great), Sunscreen as a COEC / Microplutant (which at the same time is essentially to combating Skin Cancer etc short of just not being in the sun much/wearing thick clothing+hats etc), and just ‘’’gestures at political system imploding in the USA’’’ (+ all the wars) it is just painful to think lol

The Mass Awareness, Political Will, Political Power, and Capital needed to fix the world’s problems, versus my ability to volunteer/MAYBE throw a few coins at some small groups doing super soaker fights with a metaphorical wildfire is really disheartening at times.

All for the Koch Brothers / Other various status quo benefactors to dump waaay more into way more groups etc

Political violence just becomes a Reichstag fire in our Post Truth era, and most “average joes” either don’t know, don’t care, both, or are in a similar situation of trying to do something etc but short of having a podcast or some community level group thing etc don’t have much ability to change things.

I’m rambling, and as per the various relevant quotes by people dealing with worse for longer etc a lot of it is just “fake it till you make it” / “continue doing the right thing in spite” etc but all in all the futility the metacrisis makes me feel has been especially crushing as of late
