This is an expensive part of the development process, in which the actual machine is taken through destructive testing with various loads:

2. Fall
3. Collision
4. Excess force
5. Excess shear
6. Overheat
7. Fire
8. Water immersion

and others as needed.

The primary focus is to generate data points on functional and operational safety limits.
