Idea that a powerful tool in the hands of a fast learner allows that person to achieve functional competency after a few hours of practice - ie, attaining say 50% performance compared to a professional in about 1% of the time that it takes to become a professional. We have seen this in OSE production runs, where a nonwelder was tasked with noncritical welds at the beginning of a production run, and they were capable of welding just about anything else at the end of the day.
