From paper shown at http://montaraventures.com/energy/2008/03/10/ausras-bold-claim/ , Ausra's existing cost per peak kilowatt is $3000 for solar concentrator power.

This is consistent with our predictions -

The|]]OSE system shown here, at 2% overall solar to electric efficiency, yields 1 kW of peak power at a cost of $3000 per kilowatt. We are aiming at efficiency of 6% for the initial prototype, or peak power of 3 kW from the system shown. For a mature version, we are aiming at 10-15% efficiency for 5kW systems - or those of home scale use.
