Examle of 120V/240V circuit, and what happens if the neutral is accidentally dropped in a 120/240 V circuit.

Point: if you drop a neutral in a 120/240v circuit, some 120 loads may burn out under specific conditions.

Note that on a 240V circuit, the neutral is not required.
